Get vaccinated for flu this season!

Watch for advertisements of the arrival of this year’s flu vaccine and the dates it will be available.  Be sure to ask if you are receiving the Quad vaccine to be fully covered against 4 strains of the flu. Flu vaccine is available for children 6 months through age 18 at the Langlade County Health Department at no cost if you have Medical Assistance or Badgercare. Vaccination clinics are held the 4th Wednesday of every month from 9 AM to 4 PM.   School based clinics will be available for all children at no cost if you get the vaccine at your childs school. Watch for more information coming home from your childs school or check the school districts website for the dates of the school based clinics. Adult vaccine is available for a fee or is free for those who are covered by Medicare Part B.  Call the Langlade County Health Department with any questions at (715) 627-6250.

You can also get flu vaccine from your doctor, pharmacist or local health clinic.
